Human Rights in Childbirth is proud to announce this Champion Award to recognize the outstanding contributions from individuals who protect and defend human rights in childbirth in their daily work.

Beginning in 2019 and in each year to follow, we will recognize a midwife, physician, nurse, lawyer and an advocate who has worked tirelessly to  advance and protect the full spectrum of women’s human rights in childbirth.

The champions prize was established by the Board of Human Rights in Childbirth to celebrate these passionate individuals. The champions prize is an opportunity to publicly recognize the achievements of recipients, inspire other members of our community and express gratitude and support for their work to protect human rights during the childbirth process.
